Food gift baskets

Food gift baskets are excellent presents for co-workers, neighbors or casual acquaintances. Everyone loves edible treats, and arranging them in a basket is a good creative outlet.

How do I make food gift baskets?
• Arrange the two tallest items first by leaning them against the side of the basket.
• Place all other items toward the front of the basket in descending order of size.
• The tall items will serve as a “tent pole” for the plastic wrap; cover the whole basket with plastic so that it closes at the top.

Bottles of wine, champagne and cider make good “centerpieces” for gift food baskets because they’ll likely be the tallest items. A quality bottle of wine will catch the recipient’s eye and set your basket apart from any other they receive
